# Design Tapify NFC Cards

> Use the online designer or provide a print-ready PDF for your custom team cards.

You can design custom Tapify NFC Cards online after checkout or create the design in your own software and send Tapify a print-ready PDF.

## Choose a design method

| Method                 | Best for                                                            |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Online designer**    | Creating a Tapify Custom design without separate design software.   |
| **Print-ready PDF**    | Using your own designer, brand files, or preferred design software. |
| **Assisted engraving** | Finalizing a Tapify Metal Engraved design with Tapify.              |

## Use the online designer

After paying for **Tapify Custom**, the confirmation page opens the card designer. Tapify also emails you a link so you can return to it.

In the designer, you can:

* Choose a background color
* Upload PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG artwork
* Add and position text
* Review the front and back of the card

Save your work if you need to return later. When the design is ready, select **Submit design** to send it to production.

  Review the design carefully before submitting it. A submitted design enters production and can no longer be edited.

## Create a print-ready PDF

Use the Tapify templates with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or another design tool that can export a print-ready PDF.

Use these specifications for the front and back:

| Requirement                  | Specification                                        |
| ---------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| **Finished card size**       | 85.5 × 54 mm                                         |
| **Bleed**                    | 3 mm on every side                                   |
| **PDF page size with bleed** | 91.5 × 60 mm                                         |
| **Resolution**               | At least 300 DPI                                     |
| **Export format**            | PDF without crop, registration, or other print marks |

### Show where the QR code belongs

Tapify generates the final QR code for each card. In your design, either:

* Add an example QR code in the preferred position and colors.
* Add a white placeholder box where the QR code should appear.

Do not use a final personal QR code in the artwork. Tapify adds the working QR codes during production.

### Send the PDF to Tapify

After ordering, follow the instructions in your order or design email to send the PDF. Include the order number so Tapify can connect the file to the correct order.

If you did not receive the instructions, email [support@tapify.app](mailto:support@tapify.app) with the order number.

Tapify checks the file before production and contacts you if anything needs to be corrected.

## Design Tapify Metal Engraved cards

After checkout, Tapify contacts you to finalize the engraving. You receive a proof to approve before production begins.
