# Admins and access

> Invite administrators and understand the difference between an owner, admin, and team member.

Owners and admins use the Tapify Teams dashboard to manage a workspace. Team members use the Tapify mobile app and do not need dashboard access.

## Understand workspace roles

| Role            | Access                                                                                         |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Owner** | Manages the workspace and is the only person who can delete it. Every workspace has one owner. |
| **Admin** | Manages team members, brand kits, contacts, settings, products, API keys, and billing. |
| **Team member** | Uses their digital business card and contact tools in the Tapify mobile app. |

Admin access is separate from a team member invitation. Use **Settings → Admins** when someone needs to help manage the workspace.

## Invite an admin

1. Open **Settings → Admins**.
2. Select **Add admin**.
3. Enter the person’s full name and email address.
4. Select **Add admin**.

Tapify sends an invitation by email. The new admin opens the invitation, requests a verification code, and enters the 6-digit code to join the workspace.

If the email already has access to the workspace, Tapify will not create another admin entry.

<Note>
  Admins should use their own account. Do not share verification codes or dashboard access between people.
</Note>

## Remove an admin

1. Open **Settings → Admins**.
2. Find the admin.
3. Select **Remove**.
4. Confirm the removal.

The person immediately loses admin access to that workspace. Removing admin access does not delete other workspaces they manage.

You cannot remove:

* The workspace owner
* Your own admin access

Ask another admin or the owner to remove your access if needed.

## If an admin manages several workspaces

The admin can use the workspace switcher in the sidebar. Access, members, contacts, brand kits, and billing remain separate for each workspace.
