People can open your digital business card in a browser. They do not need the Tapify app.
Open sharing options
- Open the Card tab.
- Tap your QR code.
From Share, you can:
- Show your QR code in person
- Send it by message
- Send it by email
- Copy its link
- Use your phone’s share menu
Choose how to share
Share in person
Show your QR code
Show the QR code on your screen and ask the other person to scan it with their phone camera. They can open your digital business card and save the details you have chosen to share.
For easier scanning:
- Increase your screen brightness.
- Keep the phone steady.
- Avoid glare across the QR code.
- Leave a little space between the camera and your screen.
Use a Tapify NFC Card
A Tapify NFC Card opens your digital business card with a tap. Ask the other person to wake their phone, then hold the Tapify NFC Card near its NFC reader. They can also scan the QR code printed on the Tapify NFC Card.
See Tapify NFC Card for ordering, placement, and troubleshooting.
Use Wallet or a shortcut
Wallet cards and phone shortcuts help you reach your QR code faster:
- Add a Wallet card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- Add the Tapify widget to your iPhone or Android Home Screen.
- On iPhone, show a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
- On Android, keep the QR code available in a notification.
See Set up quick access for instructions.
Send a link
In Share, choose the option that fits the conversation:
- Message your card opens a message with a link to your digital business card.
- Email your card prepares an email with the link.
- Copy your card link copies the link so you can paste it elsewhere.
- Send another way opens the system share menu.
What the other person can do
The other person can view your digital business card and use its links without a Tapify account. They can also send their details back to you:
- Select Exchange details.
- Enter their name and the details they want to share.
- Add a job title, company, or message if needed.
- Select Exchange details to submit.
Their information appears as a new contact in your Contacts tab. After submitting, they can select Download contact to save your details to their phone.
Share without internet
Turn on Share your card offline to replace the normal link with a vCard QR code. The QR contains basic contact details that can be read without opening your digital business card.
Offline sharing is useful when your connection is poor, but it has limits:
- It shares basic contact details rather than your full digital business card.
- Images, branding, analytics, and later updates are not included.
- Anyone who saved the details keeps that copy until they update it themselves.
Tap Preview to check which details will be included before you share.
Turn offline sharing off again when you want the QR code to open your digital business card.
Save your QR code
On iPhone, select Download QR code in Share. Allow Tapify to add the image to Photos when asked.
Android does not currently include a QR download button. You can use the Tapify Home Screen widget or QR notification for quick access instead.
If your QR code does not scan
Confirm that the entire code is visible, clean the other phone’s camera lens, and try a different distance. If you selected offline sharing, use Preview to confirm that the QR contains your details.
