Tags help you group contacts. Notes give you a private place to remember context, a next step, or what you discussed. Tags require Tapify Pro and are included with team accounts. Notes are available on all plans.

Add or edit a note

  1. Open Contacts and select a person.
  2. Select the note section, or tap Note while reviewing a scan.
  3. Enter your note.
  4. Tap Done.
Keep notes short and useful. For example:
  • Where you met
  • What you discussed
  • What you promised to send
  • When to follow up
Notes are internal. They are not shown on your digital business card or sent to the contact.
A Submitted message came from the contact through your digital business card. It is kept separate from the internal note you write.

Record a note on iPhone

On iOS 26 or later, the note editor includes Record note:
  1. Open the note editor.
  2. Tap Record note.
  3. Speak clearly, then tap Stop recording.
  4. Check the transcription and correct it if needed.
  5. Tap Done.
Transcription works best when you speak the language set on your iPhone. It may make more mistakes when you speak another language, so check the text before saving. Tapify needs microphone and speech-recognition access. Voice transcription is not currently available on Android.

Add a tag

  1. Open a contact.
  2. Tap the More button.
  3. Select Add tag.
  4. Choose an existing tag.
With a personal Pro account, you can create a tag by entering its name and choosing a color. Removing a tag from one contact does not delete the tag itself.

Delete a tag

Open the tag selector and use its delete action. Deleting a tag removes it from every contact that uses it, but it does not delete those contacts.

Team-managed tags

Tags on a team account belong to the workspace. You can assign the tags available to you. Contact your workspace administrator if a tag is missing or should be removed for the whole team.

Filter by tag

On iPhone:
  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Tap the filter button.
  3. Select one or more tags.
A contact is shown when it has one of the selected tags. Android currently shows tags on contacts but does not include tag filtering.
