If tapping your Tapify NFC card does not produce a notification, first test the printed QR code with the receiving phone’s camera. This helps distinguish an NFC reading problem from a card link or activation problem. Applies to: Anyone using a Tapify NFC Card, including individuals, team members, and recipients.

Check the receiving phone

  1. Wake and unlock the phone.
  2. On Android, check that the phone supports NFC and that NFC is turned on.
  3. Hold the card still near the NFC reader. On most iPhones it is near the top; on Android it is often near the center or upper back.
  4. Remove a thick or metal case, or a magnetic accessory, if it interferes with the tap.
  5. Try the card with another compatible phone.
The receiving phone does not need Tapify installed. NFC means near-field communication: the chip shares the card link when it is close to the phone. The card does not need a battery. Opening the online digital business card still requires internet access.

Use the printed QR code

The QR code on the physical card is an alternative to NFC. Ask the recipient to scan it with their camera and open the link. If the link asks you to activate the card, follow Activate and use your NFC card. If a team card opens the wrong person, an admin can correct its assignment.

If the problem continues

If NFC still fails after these checks, or neither NFC nor QR opens your card, email support@tapify.app with the card code, your order number if available, the phone model, and what happens when you scan the printed QR code. Do not send account verification codes.
