Create and revoke a Tapify API key - Tapify

An owner or admin with Teams Connect can create an application programming interface (API) key for an integration. The key gives the connected software access to the selected Tapify workspace, including its members and contacts. Applies to: Team owners and admins using the Tapify web dashboard.

Create a key

Select the correct team in the web dashboard.
Open Settings → API keys.
Select Create API key.
Enter a name that identifies the integration.
Create the key and copy it from the confirmation.
Store the key privately and enter it only in the intended integration’s secure connection settings.

The full key is shown when it is created. The list shows only its prefix, status, creation date, and last-used date. If you lose the full key, create a replacement and revoke the old one.

Revoke a key

Open Settings → API keys.
Find the key used by the integration.
Select Delete and confirm.

The key is revoked and can no longer authenticate API requests. Update any integration using it before removing an old key during a planned replacement. If a key was exposed, revoke it and create a new one. Never put an API key in a public web page, screenshot, support message, or shared document.
